Joanne Kazmierski, President



Joanne is the CEO and founder of Global Business Logistix, LLC, a company formed to provide exceptional project leadership in the international trade and logistics industry with a focus on workforce & economic development. Check out her company on Facebook!

Joanne has over 16 years of experience in the port, logistics, supply chain and transportation industry in areas of workforce and economic development experience with the Jacksonville Port Authority (JAXPORT) and the Jacksonville Transportation Authority (JTA).

Her clients include the University of South Florida, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Florida, FSCJ, Jax Chamber and other educational institutions throughout the state and country.

Volunteering is important to Joanne. She currently is the Vice Chair of GlobalJax. a regional arm of the U.S. State Department, responsible for hosting hundreds of emerging leaders from all around the world. She serves at the VP of Communications for the Women in Transportation Seminar of Northeast Florida. She has been an avid mentor via Girl Scouting, Big Brothers Big Sisters of NE Florida and with local entrepreneurs.

Joanne has received her BS Degree in Marketing and Business Administration from the University of South Florida in Tampa. Joanne is carefree, passionate, family-oriented, and a work-a-holic who loves the mountains and nature! For relaxation, she enjoys a good walk on the beach or a bike ride. She and her husband, Dave, have two children, Jessica, and Justin, who both attend Florida State University in Tallahassee.

Philip Alia, VP of Administration



Philip joined Advanced Disposal with over 15 years of marketing communications and business management expertise specializing in brand management, marketing strategy, executive and crisis communications, customer service, strategic messaging, public relations, special events, advertising, creative development and corporate sponsorships.

He is currently responsible for all internal and external communications for the company, supporting the investor relations team as well as the executive team.

His management experience includes successfully managing up to 58 staff directly and operating budgets in excess of $16M.

Philip’s professional experience includes management positions with various service-oriented companies including the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens, Vivid Media Concepts (an award-winning, multi-million dollar advertising agency he founded and ran for over seven years), Forbes Magazine, Time Warner and the Walt Disney World Co. Philip received his Bachelors of Science from Rider University, a Graduate Certificate in Marketing Strategy from Cornell University’s Johnson School of Management and is a candidate for his Masters of Business Administration from Southeastern University. Philip has served on various boards including the Marine Industries Association of NE Florida, the American Cancer Society and the American Red Cross. He has been married for over 18 years, has two sons and resides in St. Johns County, Fla.

Marci Larson VP of Sponsorship



Marci Larson, ABC, is the public affairs manager for the North Florida Transportation Planning Organization, the independent regional transportation planning agency for four NE Florida counties. Marci handles the normal communications responsibilities.

Most of her professional career has been in the transportation industry where she worked for a freight railroad and Amtrak in Washington, D. C. and in Jacksonville as well as the Jacksonville Transportation Authority.

She is a long-time IABC member, is an accredited business communicator and is active in numerous organizations.
